General Manager
Location: Zera Coffee & Events

Position Overview:
The General Manager position in this faith-based organization is expected to lead our team and oversee its operations. In this role, you will first and foremost represent Jesus Christ and Denton Freedom House as you play a vital part in shaping the Zera experience, ensuring that every guest feels valued, and every team member feels supported.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership & Team Development: Foster a faith filled work environment by mentoring and empowering team members. Encourage personal and professional growth in staff and residents. Acknowledge individual contributions.
· Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations to ensure the highest quality of service and products. Implement efficient processes that enhance productivity while maintaining a warm, welcoming and peaceful atmosphere.
· Customer Experience: Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service. Listen to feedback and actively seek ways to improve the Zera experience.
· Event Supervisor: Collaborate with event coordinator to plan and execute memorable events. Ensure that all details are attended to with care and creativity.
· Financial Management: Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring profitability while prioritizing ethical practices and sustainability.
· Community Engagement: Build and nurture relationships within the community. Represent Zera at local events and collaborate with other businesses and community members to promote Zera, DFH and our faith-based culture.
Job Duties:
· Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that align with our mission.
· Schedule and manage staff to ensure adequate coverage and high service levels.
· Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, provide updates, and foster team cohesion.
· Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as needed to maintain stock without excess waste.
· Analyze financial reports and develop strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
· Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with compassion and efficiency.
· Collaborate and coordinate marketing efforts to promote events, specials, and community engagement activities.
· Maintain a peaceful and faith filled atmosphere that encourages creativity and collaboration among team members.
· Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to ensure Zera remains a leader in the community.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or food service industry.
· Strong leadership skills with a focus on empathy and team building.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· A passion for Jesus, coffee and events, along with a commitment to quality and service.
· Proven ability to manage budgets and operational logistics
WOW (Woman On Watch) – Denton Freedom House Women’s Home
Join our faith-based team at the Denton Freedom House Women’s Home as a WOW (Woman On Watch)! We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to shepherd residents through the initial phase of our discipleship program. The WOW provides comprehensive support, guidance, and care, fostering growth and transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee the Phase 1 program, ensuring a safe and structured environment.
- Provide individual and group support, addressing residents’ emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
- Monitor progress, facilitate conflict resolution, and provide crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with staff and community partners.
- Lead faith-based activities and provide spiritual guidance.
- Participate in community events/outings.
Qualifications:
- Must be a committed Christian and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and flexible.
- Strong leadership skills and high ethical standards.
This position requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
