General Volunteer Information
- Individuals volunteering separately (such as friends or fraternity members) must each complete an application and schedule their own shifts.
2. Groups that want to volunteer together (families, churches, coworkers, etc.) should email info@dentonfreedomhouse.org to coordinate.
3. Volunteers must be 18 or older. Minors may participate only with an approved adult chaperone who completes the application and remains onsite during the entire shift.
4. Court-ordered community service volunteers are welcome – application is at the BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.
5. Registered sex offenders are not eligible to volunteer or complete community service hours with our organization.

- Freedom Food Pantry: 1720 W. University Dr., Ste. 101, Denton, TX
Individual Volunteer Process:
- Complete the volunteer application using the Better Impact platform. Existing My Impact users (Better Impact) can sign in; new users will need to create a profile.
- References will be contacted, so please notify them in advance.
- A phone interview may be required.
- Once approved, download the My Impact app to view and sign up for available volunteer opportunities and shifts.

Professional Partnerships Needed
We are seeking volunteers and partners with expertise in:
- Small equipment repair
- Auto mechanics
- Healthcare (nurses, doctors, nurse practitioners, dentists)
- Plumbing
- Electrical work
- Construction/General contracting

Community Service
We are unable to take minors for Community Service at this time.
Community service hours that are needed to fulfill a requirement for Probation or tickets, can be done at our food pantry. We do not have evening or weekend hours for Community Service. You will be required to work a minimum of 4 hours on the day you are scheduled. Our manager onsite will sign your paperwork for probation or have you fill out paperwork for the purpose of accountability of hours.
